Brave Man Proposes To Girlfriend With Yes Or No Tick Box Tattoo For Her To Fill In

An adventurous boyfriend decided to take the plunge and ask his girlfriend to become his wife, but he did so by having the question – and two tick boxes – tattooed on his chest.  It’s a big gamble to take but, fortunately for the guy in question, it paid off. In fact, his wife-to-be drew a heart in the yes box, which he has also now had added to the tattoo. The unnamed pair got engaged whilst together in a tattoo shop called Gods of Ink in Gloucester. One of the tattooists at the parlour told the tale of the bizarre proposal in a Facebook post.

It read: “What an amazing way to propose. Juris’ client had ‘Will you marry me’ and 2 boxes for yes or no on his chest.” “His girlfriend who was with him and had no idea what he was having done was sho-cked by his proposal and she happily t!cked the Yes box. “Congratulations to you both. The ring is on the opposite finger as they are from Bulgaria so wear the ring on the right hand.” To be fair, even if she had said no, he could have kept the tattoo unfilled until he met someone else, so perhaps it isn’t the life-changing gamble that everyone thinks it is. It still shows a whole heap of commitment, though.

Underneath the original post, Facebook users congratulated the couple on their forthcoming nupt!als One person wrote: “Such an amazing couple, so happy for you both.” Another added: “Aww cute!” Needless to say, a lot of people also chimed in to say things like ‘what a risk!’ or ‘imagine if she’d have said no!’. The tattoo artist who performed the work, Juris Jurison, said that whilst this isn’t exactly a regular thing for him, he’s a big fan of the idea. He said: “It was rather unique. It reminded me of being at school when you wrote notes at school, asking your girlfriend if she wanted to go out with you.

“When she came in the main tattoo was already done and she said: ‘Oh my god I love you’ and said yes of course. Then she drew in the heart and we tattooed that on. “He was nervous at the beginning, but I think it is a really cool idea. ‘Carpe diem’, as they say.” Carpe diem, indeed. Congratulations, whoever you are.
