Actress Keke Palmer has taken over as guest host of ‘Strahan and Sara’ while Sara Haines is on maternity leave, and she is killing it. ABC selected the 25-year-old to fill the spot after she shined as a temporary host of the talk show a few months ago. “When Michael was traveling a few months back, I had the best time with one of our guest hosts. She’s super talented and we danced and we had so much fun,” Sara said of the star at the time.
While it’s a temp gig, Palmer is doing such a good job at the role that ABC execs are reportedly trying to figure out how to permanently integrate her into the show, according to reports. However, she wouldn’t take Sara’s chair (after all, the show is Strahan and Sara), but her chemistry on camera and the audience’s response to her is an undeniable hit. Michael and Palmer’s rapport is so seamless that there may be room for Keke in some capacity on the platform in the future.
This isn’t Keke’s first foray into talk show hosting. In 2014, Keke made history as the youngest talk show host at 20 years old, when he starred in her own show “Just Keke” on BET. She also was a stand-in for. Wendy Williams earlier this year when Williams took a temporary leave from her hit the daytime platform.
Keke shared some fun footage from the show with her Instagram fans when she recently hit the GMA stage with NSYNC’s Lance Bass for some classic “Bye Bye Bye” choreography.
“Yes honey, I’m out here living my BEST life! My 8 yr old self is GAGGING at me finally learning the BYE BYE BYE choreography 😩😅. My sister @lorealcwimberly and I bought “Darrin’s Dance Grooves” just to learn it back in the day hahaha! Thanks, @lancebass for making a dream of mine come true. ITS LIT! #StrahanAndSara,” she captioned the video.
